CBCT Scan

CBCT, short for cone-beam computed tomography, refers to advanced imaging systems dental professionals utilize. These systems revolve around the patient, capturing data through cone-shaped X-rays.

Approximately 150-200 images are obtained from various angles within a minute. These data are then reconstructed to generate a detailed 3D image of:

  • Teeth
  • Oral cavity, jaw, and neck
  • Ears, nose, and throat (ENT)

Panorex

Panoramic radiography, known as Panorex, is a two-dimensional (2-D) dental X-ray procedure that captures a comprehensive view of the entire mouth in one image. This includes the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures, and tissues.

Despite the jaw’s curved shape resembling a horseshoe, the panoramic X-ray produces a flattened image of this structure. Its primary focus is to provide detailed visuals of the bones and teeth.

Cephalometric X-Ray

The cephalometric X-ray is a distinctive tool that allows dentists to obtain a comprehensive radiographic view of the side of the face. Unlike intraoral X-rays, which focus solely on the teeth and jawbone, cephalometric X-rays provide a broader perspective, capturing soft tissues and the nasal and sinus passages. These X-rays are taken externally, eliminating the need for plates or films inserted into the mouth.

Intra Oral

Dentistry utilizes Intraoral Optical Scanners to generate digital impressions of tooth anatomy and implant positioning in three dimensions. Unlike traditional impressions, digital impressions eliminate the need for patients to tolerate unpleasant-tasting materials, bulky trays, and potential gagging. Additionally, digital color maps can accurately analyze shade and customize cosmetic restorations.
